Redwood City Police and Firefighters Association CHRISTMAS TOY AND BOOK DRIVE 2009
Dear Community Supporter,
Thank you for your continued support of the Redwood City Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Association Christmas Toy and Book Drive. Last year, we were able to provide over 12,000 toys and books to over 500 families. Santa Claus delivers presents each child’s home, escorted by uniformed police officers and firefighters.
We are currently collecting donations for our 2009 Toy and Book Drive. This support can be in the form of toy collection barrel(s) at your location and/or donations of food or drinks for our Wrapping Party. We also need volunteers and corporate donations of cash to purchase toys and books.
If you are interested in having a toy collection barrel, volunteering, or making a donation to our program, please fill out the attached form and mail or email to the address on the form. If you need more information, please contact Officer Dan Smith.
Our wrapping party is Monday, December 14th, 2009 from 5-8pm at Red Morton Community Center (1120 Roosevelt. Ave.)
The Redwood City Toy Program is a cooperative effort that is orchestrated by members of the Redwood City Police and Fire Departments, Police Activities League and Community Social Services. While all of these entities share equal parts in providing the muscle to direct the program’s efforts, The Redwood City Community is truly the backbone to its success. It is through the empowerment and strong leadership from our Department Heads and City Officials that we are enabled to build and sustain great community giving campaigns like the Redwood City Toy Program.
